Storm Preparations

Palm Beach County is expected to get tropical storm force winds in the next 24 hours. Today it is imperative that you prepare your home for the storm.

Please complete the following:

• Umbrellas must be closed and tied shut or laid flat on the ground.

• Fabric gazebo covers should be removed.

• Any objects hanging off the balcony railing (plants, windchimes, etc.) must be removed. Please note the Rules & Regulations prohibit hanging anything from the railings regardless of when.

• Clear everything off the balconies. Plants, chairs, tables, statues— everything.

• Small decorations, whether year round or holiday. That includes wreaths on your gate, garden flags next to your walkway, small potted plants, and anything else that is light enough to be blown down in the winds.

• Basketball hoops must be laid flat on the ground.

• Flags and flag poles must be taken down.

After the storm has passed, we’ll be completing a sweep of the property for downed tree limbs, debris, and damage. You can also report damage via email to voslvolunteer@gmail.com.
